Aim of the course:
This course applies the transversal work-readiness, green and digital competences developed earlier in the MOOC to a specialised industrial context, introducing industrial robotics as a concrete field where these skills converge.
It provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of industrial robotics, including basic robotic systems, automation processes and their role in modern production environments. The course emphasises how XR technologies can support the understanding of robotic operations through immersive and practice-oriented learning scenarios.
Participants will explore how industrial robotics contributes to technological innovation and productivity, while recognising the relevance of digital literacy, safety awareness and adaptability in advanced industrial settings.
Main ideas:
- Exploring fundamental concepts of industrial robotics and automation and their impact on production efficiency and innovation.
- Using XR simulations to practise pick-and-place operations in environments that mirror real industrial processes.
- Developing technical skills such as coordination, precision and control through immersive training.
