Aim of the course:
This course provides an in-depth understanding of digital transformation across the Habitat sector value chain.
It explores how digital technologies are transforming resources, industrial processes, construction and infrastructure, auxiliary industries and services, as well as revalorisation and management activities within the Habitat sector.
The course supports SMEs, sectoral organisations and intermediary bodies in identifying strategic, organisational and skills-related implications of digital transformation, enabling them to design and implement effective upskilling and reskilling pathways that contribute to the green and digital transition of the Habitat ecosystem.
Main ideas:
- Digital transformation in the Habitat sector affects the entire ecosystem and value chain, not isolated activities or technologies.
- Data, interoperability and digital platforms are key enablers connecting the different pillars of the Habitat sector.
- Digitalisation supports productivity, sustainability, industrialisation and circular economy objectives across the built environment.
- Digital tools enable new forms of collaboration, services and business models within the Habitat ecosystem.
- Successful digital transformation requires new skills, organisational change and continuous upskilling, particularly for SMEs and intermediary actors.
